Holyhead, Wales, Day TripJanuary 26, 2016
Holyhead is a town in Wales, right in front of Dublin, across the Atlantic, to be close, every day and several times, has ferries (Ferry Boat) that make the crossing, lasts about 3 hours, It has several companies that make the crossing, but we went by StenaLine, because they're going to promotional prices and back the same day, 12 EUR per person, on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays ace is even better, with price 6 euros round trip (access the this link to buy the tickets on sale). The ferry is super comfortable, It has a mini duty free (very expensive), restaurants, bar, cinema, arcade… like enough, nor felt spend 3 hours.
We went on a Sunday, we could not go on Tuesday, because we had class, We went with a friend to Dublin and found, another couple of friends there.
The city does not have much to do, further Sunday, that almost everything is closed, but our destiny was to go to South Stack, a park located on the shore of Wales, well near the town of Holyhead, uns 5Kms do centro, some people make the journey on foot, we prefer to take a taxi at the port, the taxi cost about 7 Pounds or Pounds (official currency of the United Kingdom).
The park has several trails to, It has a lighthouse in the beautiful Cliff foot and other small buildings, this lighthouse is the charm of the park, and they say there in the summer you can see penguins, but we did not have that sort of view, even going in the summer, We find it strange to have penguins there, but … there too many people are going to watch the birds, that inhabit this region.
We spent the day inside the park, admiring the views and having a picnic.
Other people go there, to go to London buses, or train and has others that go there, to go to Stonehenge, we are also thinking of going to Stonehenge, mas via Birmingham, it has flights 20 euros return there, from Dublin. A trip to Stonehenge there is 2:30 a.m. car, are as Holyhead 5 hours.
Same as walking Bray, this tour is ideal for those who live in Ireland, or think of living, or for those who are here longer.
