Where to stay in Sal Island, in Cape Verde, in AfricaDecember 23, 2019
Where to stay in Sal Island, in Cape Verde, in Africa. In early December when the cold began to race here in Europe, we live in Barcelona for those who do not know, we decided to take a runaway from here to heaven and spend 8 days there.
We went to Sal, a wonderful Island, between the 10 Volcanic Islands Cape Verde, na Africa, situated around 600km from the African coast, Sal Island is hot throughout the year and hardly ever rains, there also is already winter, but the average temperature at this time is 20 a 25 degrees and came to pick up 27 various degrees days, It is a place with crystal clear waters and a turquoise hurting the eyes of so beautiful, with thin and white sand, People are amazing, always cheerful and smiling, I think the word Creole morabeza, which means the art of welcoming, explains a little all, off their food they are fantastic, everything we eat and drink there was delicious, mainly cachupa (a dish made of beans base, corn, Meat or fish) and groggy their alcohol, a bit strong, but also very good, that is, a true paradise. It is a super resort island which has several attractions and fun sightseeing to do.
We stayed in Sal Island by 8 days, the first 4 nights stayed on Hotel Ouril Julia, with excellent value for money, a hotel with beautiful and modern decor, they offer transfer to / from airport 15 euros each part, large room, clean, huge bed, with balcony overlooking the main street, hair dryer, air conditioning, TV, fridge and a delicious breakfast included.
the Hotel is on the main street of Santa Maria, super well located, you can do everything on foot, It has many bars, restaurants, baladinhas, some go up to more than 4 am, but they have a sound that we do not hear any noise, wonderful beaches and the famous pontoon Santa Maria, where fishermen arrive with fresh and huge fish (personally have never seen fish that big lol) to sell and for their support. The pontoon is actually a pier, dividing the 2 beautiful beaches with turquoise water of Santa Maria and where also leave many boat trips there.
In the second part of the trip we had already done all the rides we wanted, We did a walk that took a back in the beautiful Sal with the company Morabitur it is a delightful boat ride with Odissée IV, We know many restaurants, bares, city baladinhas, We had gone on the beaches, so we wanted to stay more relaxed at a resort, then chose the Meliá Llana Beach Resort & Spa, to stay the last 3 Travel nights, It is about 3km from Santa Maria, a resort delight with everything a resort can offer you, beachfront pools with dozens of loungers (on the beach too) then you did not have to kill to get your place in the sun lol,.
It has restaurants and bars with dozens of wonderful food and great drinks, a huge bedroom, with a huge bed and wonderful, balcony, air conditioning, TV, hair dryer, to a white boy and fluffy bathrobe I Pri, I made sure to put lol, one fridge full of drinks you could choose what you wanted, because forgot to tell the best and main, system is all-inclusive then you can consume everything in the hotel (food and drink) which is already included and obviously did it during 3 Daily we were staying there lol, were legal and well animated shows every night, hair stylist (I have not used), Shop, academia, recreations in the pools, Finally a lot of attractions for you to take a vacation from vacation and relax to the max, very good value for money, not even need to mention that we love and recommend all very well.
For Brazilians can get in Cape Verde need a visa, but it can be done at the same airport (pretty fast) It is mandatory to have the international certificate of vaccination against yellow fever (although they have not asked me, I Pri, I was with him), Chris entered the Spanish passport, Visa costs for Brazilian 56 euros and the entrance fee to Spanish costs 31 euros (I believe it is the same for all citizens of the European Union, but I'm not sure, so it's good to take a researched and not well know whether to Spanish and other citizenship if you must have the vaccination certificate against yellow fever, but Chris also led it to ensure) the visa and the fee can be paid in cash (we pay in even euro) or credit card, until immigration is smiling and friendly.
The country's currency is the Cape Verde escudo which you can exchange at the airport, but the vast majority of establishments in Sal Island, to be a good tourist island, accept euros (but the exchange rate is not as good) then it is better to change money at the same airport or you can also use credit card. The official language in Cape Verde for those who do not know is our good and dear Portuguese, but they also speak Creole.
